Dr Ashraf graduated in 1999 and has been practising as a General Practitioner since 2002. With more than two decades of clinical experience, he provides comprehensive, patient-centred primary care supported by a strong academic and research foundation. His approach combines evidence-based medicine with compassionate, holistic care tailored to individuals and families across all stages of life.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Ashraf has developed an extensive academic portfolio. He has published 32 full peer-reviewed articles in leading scientific journals and has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences. His previous engagement in research ensures his patients benefit from the latest advancements in medical science, particularly in the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease.
Dr Ashraf was awarded a competitive scholarship to undertake a PhD in Hypertension at the University of Queensland School of Medicine, which he successfully completed in June 2011. His doctoral research focused on hypertension and cardiovascular risk, strengthening his expertise in one of the most significant contributors to chronic disease worldwide. He also completed a Master’s Degree in 2004, further enhancing his academic and clinical capabilities.
